Overview

Tsuiki (hand-hammered) copperware is designated as an intangible cultural property predominantly used to make table and cookware. Sheets of copper are cut to the appropriate size and shaped using traditional crafting techniques passed down over 200 years. Coloring is done by oxidizing the surface of the pieces allowing the color to change and deepen as you use it.
